GAME TIPS
Here's a game you can let your preschoolers play. It's called "Hide the thimble." You have one child hide a sewing thimble in a room while the others cover their eyes. Once the thimble is hid all the other children start looking for it. While they are looking the child who has hidden it tells them if they are close "hot" or far away from it "cold." Kids will love hearing "you're getting hotter, hotter.....no colder, colder." Great for birthday parties.
Why not try the game "Drop the clothes pin in the bottle" at your childs next birthday party. You will need an orange juice glass jar or other larger small- mouthed jar and a pack of cheap clothes pins (the kind without the metal spring works better). Line the kids up and let each one take turns trying to drop clothes pins into the bottle. Best 2 out of 5. It's harder than it looks! Better yet, blindfold each child and listen to the laughs start!
